Our Story
A Personal Connection to the Mission
The foundation of KinTech is personal.
Charles Kinsey’s path into cybersecurity began after being scammed when he was young and inexperienced. At the time, he lacked the knowledge and guidance to recognize what was happening—and the impact was real. That experience became a turning point.
Rather than accept it as a loss, Charles committed himself to understanding technology, security, and risk—so others wouldn’t have to learn the hard way.
That early experience still shapes KinTech today: Technology and security should protect people and businesses, not confuse or exploit them.
Experience and Perspective
Charles has spent nearly 15 years working across the technology and cybersecurity landscape in a wide range of roles and disciplines. Throughout his career, his focus has remained consistent: simplifying complexity and bringing visibility to risk.
His work has spanned small businesses, mid-sized organizations, and large enterprises across multiple industries. That exposure has reinforced a core belief—most organizations don’t fail because they don’t care about security or technology; they fail because they don’t have clear guidance, ownership, or practical support.
KinTech was built to provide exactly that.
Why KinTech Exists
KinTech was founded to serve small and medium-sized businesses that are often overlooked—especially those in rural communities.
Too many businesses outside major metro areas are expected to operate with the same technology, security, and compliance pressures as large enterprises, but without the resources, staff, or guidance to do so safely. KinTech exists to close that gap.
The goal is simple: bring enterprise-level thinking, structure, and security to small and mid-sized organizations in a way that is practical, affordable, and aligned with how real businesses operate.
Values That Shape the Business
KinTech is built on relationships and service.
Charles values long-term partnerships, spiritual well-being, and giving back to the community. He is actively involved in a variety of non-profit organizations and believes that service to others is inseparable from professional work.
Above all else, his dedication is to his wife and their eleven children—an influence that keeps KinTech grounded, intentional, and focused on sustainability rather than short-term wins.
Today
Today, Charles serves as the owner of KinTech, headquartered in Panora, Iowa, working closely with small and mid-sized businesses to help them use technology safely, effectively, and as a driver for growth—not a source of stress.
KinTech is not about selling tools or chasing trends. It’s about providing clarity, protection, and confidence—especially for businesses that deserve better support than they’ve been given.
